Improved Graphics

After some setbacks with Unreal and some nasty bugs (including a memory leak in the engine) I finally got my project stable again.

Lately I’ve been playing around with the look of the game. Constantly tweaking post process numbers and playing with lighting. This is honestly something where I have no idea what I’m doing and I kind of just try changing one thing after the other until I get something that looks cool to me.

Here is the current result right now:

This is all very subjective stuff, but I feel like the new look is better right now. It doesn’t look so dark and is a lot less flat. The characters appear to have more depth and it just looks more “next-gen” to me.

Anyways, graphics aren’t really a priority right now, but after months of adding features, refining game-play, and trying to come up with ways to make the game as fun as possible, I really just needed a break from that to clear my thoughts. Now, going back to working on gameplay, I hope I come up with some fresh ideas.
